The new PMX 685i SPORTS headphones from Sennheiser are exactly what we’ve been looking for to step up our running game. Running is not the easiest of physical activities, and those that are not in love with the sport can always use a bit of motivation. Music is a great way to kick oneself into gear and get moving. The problem is most headphones are not designed for running and are either uncomfortable or fall out. The ones that are made for sports usually sacrifice sound quality for a more athletic design. The high-output drivers in the PMX SPORTS serve up a healthy dose of natural stereo sound while the in-ear design functions to keep your situational awareness of your surroundings in check. The 685i are comfortable, sweat and water resistant neckband style headphones that are rugged and durable. They can be rinsed off under the faucet to remove grime and perspiration. The monocoque design ensures that the phones will not fall off during activity, something earbuds are notorious for. Buy($62)

The Nest Protect is the newest product in Nest’s line of smart home devices. The Protect is a smoke and carbon monoxide detector that takes the annoying factor out of the smoke detector equation. Before an emergency, the Protect gives you a heads up warning using a human voice, not an obnoxious beep. If you’ve simply burned your bacon, you can just wave your hand under the Protect to hush it. The voice of the Protect tells you what the emergency is and where it has been detected. If you happen to own a Nest thermostat, the CO detector on the Protect will automatically turn off your gas furnace if it detects carbon monoxide. (Pre-order $129) Continue reading Nest Protect

It seems that we’ve been posting a lot of cables lately. Charging your device is almost as essential as breathing, and a simple cable is the best solution to charging your device. Juices+ Cables, like the Eastern Collective Cables use a woven cable for a durable, tangle free design. The cables come in Gold, Silver, and Black. Where they differ in their design, the Juices+ use anodized aluminum connectors instead of plastic. For some phone users (iPhone 5, 5S, HTC One, Nokia models) this is very attractive, as it matches the material their phone is constructed with. These cables are licensed by Apple for use, so you will never have any compatibility issues. This project has already surpassed its Kickstarter goal by over 400%, but you can still get in the game and grab yourself one of these cables for just $18. Get one today!

At 5’8″ I’m smack in the middle of average height, so you think there would be more choices. It seems that most quality goods cater to the 6′ and taller set. Peter Manning NYC is a clothier that serves men that are five-foot-eight and shorter. As you would imagine, the main focus is pants, but Manning also offers a great selection of shirts, sweaters, blazers and even ties.
